Playwright

Stan has received commissions from the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York (funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation), Temple Beth El in Charlotte, NC (The Merkin Institute), The Commonweal Theatre Company in Lanesboro, MN (The Jerome Foundation),  and is a recipient of an NCArts/ASC Regional Artists Grant. 

Stan has won numerous local awards for his original works. His play "The Friar & The Nurse" was featured in the New York International Fringe Festival and was lauded by BackStage as "a joyous celebration of falling in love." (Gwen Orel)

Stan is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Inc., and The Playwright's Center of Minneapolis. After serving as Resident Playwright and Managing director of Epic Arts Repertory Theatre in Charlotte, NC for seven years, now resides in Lanesboro, MN working as a writer, actor and designer with the Commonweal Theatre Company.
